how to change a picture into GIF format.

all my pics are.jpeg or .bmp how do i change them and rezize to put on here. many thanks. Dave.

Click on your pic to view in Windows picture and fax viewer, click the wee blue disc to save then in the next window, choose the name and in the save as type box, choose Gif. Simple.

Oh and you can resize them with the viewer too. Click on the icon right of the save disc, it closes the viewer and opens the pic for editing. Resize by choosing image, the stretch/skew and choose the percentages you want it to be.
Again.Simple!

Doesn't have to be a gif image; mine is a jpeg and is working (so far...).

Delboy, if you right click on your picture and select "properties" you will see that they have converted it into a gif.

thankyou all very much, the one i have was jpeg but on my profile all i had was a little red cross and no pic , but seems to have worked anyway.
