Thanks very much. Someone we know said that when she tried one of these, the radio kept cutting in as she travelled because the frequency changes. Does this mean anything to anyone, or was she doing something wrong, please?
It depends what distances you travel ... and if you do the same journeys.

If you look at the BBC frequencies you'll notice that they always quote a range ... 92.2 - 93.7.

so a free band in scotland will possibly not be free in london ....

the belkin stores a number of frequencies ... so as you move around you just re-tune (I use the fm3 option to store them)

the alternative is to buy a set of noise cancelling earphones
