Be aware you will lose all your settings, photos, docs, drivers and anything else you've had installed on the hard drive since then. I would suggeset you back up any important files onto a cdr / dvd / usb hard drive if you want to keep them safe. Hope this helps you.

Not all PC or laptops have a recovery CD.
Some have a recovery area (partition) on the hard disk and you can recover from that.
Have a look at the documentation that came with the PC or laptop.
If it was a PC built by a shop or a friend it may not have any recovery process and you will have to do a re-install of Windows.
