Trojan Horse

I have just done a PC Scan and it appears I have a Trojan Horse Virus. What is this and how do I get rid of it? I have Virus protection on PC. Many Thanks for any help.

What program did you use to do the virus scan?

What virus did it say you had (there are loads, all with different names)

Some dodgy programs "pretend" you have viruses so you pay out money to them so they say they will fix it.

Virus programs like AVG will normally fix the virus for you.

avast is another good free to use site that will get shut of it for you.

Switch off your 'restore facility' on the computer as any backup points will contain the virus.
Start your computer in safe mode - tap F8 while starting - and run the virus scanner.
Restart the computer and remember to switch the restore back on.

If you`ve still got the Trojan, Download free trial of Trojan Hunter. It got rid of 4 Trojan`s for me which AVG couldn`t shift.
