netgear adsl firewall router dg834 problem
4 Answers
well not a problem as such since it is working ok--it is a wired router and about 3/4 yrs old--suddenly it has developed a clicking noise--mechanical sound i reckon rather than an electronic one--clicks 5 times at roughly 1 sec intervals--stops for 10 secs then repeats continuously--more of an irritation cos, as i said, all still works ok--could it be on its way out i wonder?--anyone else experienced this?--thanks all

If not, then back any data that's on that disk up immediately! Your disk may fail at any time.
(All hard drives make noises, some are just quieter than others. Make sure it's not just a normal noise, that for some reason you're hearing more clearly right now.)
