How do I go Wireless?

How do I go wireless with my broadband?
I have a router and a red ethernet cable at the nack of my PC. I have purchased a USB Bluetooth which should be able to connect to my router so I can go wireless. Can someone please explain in simple terminology how I go wireless.
My telephone socket is down stairs and my PC is upstairs so I want to go wireless so there is no wires trailing from upstairs down to the telephone socket.
I am with Talk Talk if this helps to answer my Q.
TIA

You need a WIRELESS router (wireless routers also have sockets for wires as well).
Easiest way to tell if you have a wireless router is to see if it has small aerials, like this:

If it does not you need to replace your wired router with a wireless router.
