Mini SDs

I have bought a digiframe for a Christmas pressie and a mini SD (1gb) to go in it.
However, each time I try and copy pix to it on my lap top it tells me it is 'write protected' and that I must remove this protection. Can anyone tell me how I do this???? I am beginning to panic as it is a present!!! Thanks!

Has it got a little tiny sliding notch on the side? If so, slide the notch across.

There's a small white sliding switch marked 'lock'?
