hi can any1 help just bought a laptop what do i need 2 get the internet? i havent got a clue with this type of thing. i have broadband on my pc . do i need a phone line? or a router? i think i was born in 1875 lol PLEASE HELP

If you already have a pc that is connected to the internet (I think you do) you can buy a router to connect more than one computer to the net.
If you buy a wireless router, you can connect your pc by ethernet cable and connect your laptop wirelessly. As it is a new laptop it will be enabled for this.
So, you need to buy a router.

I don't have a phone line either.
Buy a router specifically for cable - you will see them on the PCWorld website - �30 upwards, I expect. Here you can see they are clearly marked 'cable':

You connect it to your Virgin modem by ethernet cable and plug it in to the mains.
Unplug the desktop pc from the Virgin modem and plug it in to the router.
It should come with all instructions.
