Hi and Merry Chsitmas!
I got an iTouch for Chrsitmas, and I can get everything to work but the internet on it! I've registered it, created an account, followed the on screen instructions, but nothing works! I'm working with a Netgear DG834G router (version 3 if that helps) and when I view the Internet settings, I can only view the IP Adress and the Subnet Mask.
I would greatly appreciate any help!

Are you connected to the router? If you are, there'll be a tick mark next to the router name in the wifi settings on the iPod.

If it isn't ticked, tap the name. Enter your encryption time (WEP, WPA, etc.) then go back and enter the password.
Hi , I am having the same problems , I got my son an ipod touch and we use a Belkin router , he can't get the ipod touch to connect . I got a laptop and have the same problem , I've connected that straight via a cable from the router to my laptop . So , in short , neither of our chrissy presents will connect to the net via their WIFI xx
Well one thing i noticed is that i had the same exact problem with my itouch too, check on your router if the is a S/N Code, there might be a barcode or a W/P, if theres a barcode look for the W/P label, that is you password unless you changed it, i believe if you changed it you can go to the network connections settings on your computer and see if it's changed, if not, its the same W/P password on your router, i still had problems though after i connected but i think it was because we had a very, very old router.
