lock usb pen/disk

is there a program out there that allows me to put a password on my usb key, or a password on a disk , so no one can access these items without the password ( ie- cannot access or see the files located within) I type my diary entry's onto the computer, and i want to save them in a safer place.

Nothing on your computer is safe. There are always ways to 'get around' passwords, locks and keys.

it is safe if your family aint a bunch of brain boxes :) - they smart enough to work the things, but i doubt they will attempt to get past a password.

One very secure way is to create a disk image and save that to your pen drive, using TrueCrypt.
