opening pdf files

Hi I do have adobe reader 8 installed on my pc ,but when I try to open a file on the net that requires this reader mine opens up in microsoft word with a lot of error messages

Gave up on adobe because it uses too many system resources and tends to slow the pc.
A quicker alternative is foxit reader which is much better if you have xp.

Otherwise uninstall adobe and reinstall it if you would rather stick with it.

thank you very much I have removed Adobe 8 and my pc is running faster and have downloaded that link a that works a treat super super opening up the files I wanted .Imust wish you a happy new year
