What hi-fi speakers to buy for laptop?
4 Answers
My hi-fi has finally died on me and rather than buying a new one I was thinking of getting speakers for my laptop to play music through. I want something fairly decent that sounds like a proper hi-fi rather than just tinny PC speakers. Has anyone bought any and can you recommend any? I'd probably set them up on either side of my living room and would need to have good quality sound and be able to be cranked up quite loud!

Their prices are very good, they have a good selection - free delivery on orders over 50.
Most have customer reviews.
I suspect you will have to buy an audio jack extension lead - as most speakers are designed to be used close to the PC/laptop

Hi,
Choosing speakers is a very subjective thing as what sounds good to one ear can sound terrible to another. I would recommend you listen to a selection of speakers first before buying as you tend to get what you pay for esp. at the cheaper end of the market. Take a known selection of music with you as you will be familiar with how it should sound rather than any shop demo cds.
