OMA to MP3

Does anybody know of a free program i can downlaod to convert an OMA file to an MP3 file. I've got various MP3 converters and none of them will convert OMA files. I may be a simple soul, but why is it necessary to have all these different formats????

Thanks lodekka - it seems I am not the only one who has fallen for McDonalds' and Sony's trap - I put the tracks onto a cd then uploaded them to itunes as mp3s, - a lot of trouble for one Iron Maiden track!

I used TMPGENC, loaded the OMA file into the 'audio' box at the bottom, then selected 'File=>Output to file=>WAV File (as this causes no quality loss). Then I used my normal program to convert to MP3. :) The free version of TMPGENC does this as well.
