Why aren't some of the pictures showing in email?

Instead of a picture in some of my emails, I am getting a red 'x' with a box. What is wrong? Not all the emails, just some of them.

Your security software could be stopping them opening, or you do not have software that can 'read' them.

Presuming you use Outlook Express; go to the Tools tab on top and choose options. Open the security tab and untick "Block images and other external content in HTML mail".
I wouldn't recommend unticking any of the other options above that.
