slave hard drive 32g limit
2 Answers
because of a problem on one of my computers, i have been forced to add the hard drive ( 250g ) as a slave on my other computer which has a main hard drive of 25g capacity.
in my computer i only have access to 32g, i remember reading somewhere that you have to make some sort of change within windows xp in order to access anything above this 32g ceiling.
i would be very grateful if anybody could help me gain access to the rest of this hard-drive.

fat 32 has a max partition size of 8Tb
EXCEPT when the partition is created using Windows XP
... if it is ..... the max partition size is ......... ta daaaaa
32Gb !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the fix is either format as NTFS - or use a windows 98se bootdisk to create the partition (also applies to USB discs)
or use partition magic, acronis O&O or any of the other partition managers

You obviously know what your talking about, so you might like to hazard an idea or two about the problem on my other computer.
I will submit the problem seperately under the title " FROZEN CURSOR " , I would be really grateful if you or a n other could solve this problem.
