iPod wiped :(

My iPod is set to manually update but for some reason last time I connected it it tried to sync to my (empty) iTunes Library and as I result I lost about 5000 tracks.

I know I should have a back up and it's definitely something I will do in the future!

In the meantime does anyone know of a FREE recovery software that will retrieve alot of it without me having to sit and upload every cd all over again?

My son says you should never have emptied your library !
Check your recycle bin and see if they are all still in there !!
