I've just bought a Panasonic DVD recorder - v pleased with it, but looking for a newbie-friendly guide to backing up individual shows recorded on dvd-ram discs to dvd-r discs. My PC's dvd-rewriter supports both formats. I've looked at some of the guides at http://www.videohelp.com/ and they seem to have conversion guides for pretty much every format *except* dvd-ram ... and the guides I have read there seem to be aimed at more experienced users - can anyone point me towards somtheing with a less steep learning curve? I already have a full version of Nero 6, which I guess will help, but will I need extra software to copy individual shows from my dvd-ram rather than the entire contents of the disc? Thanks

tsunami [aka] tmpgenc authoring app. will grab individual shows from your dvd-ram, you can get a 30day trial and uninstall after use then rollback, or buy it from the Hong Kong site if you got dollars, this is the best app. for the job afaik, there are two versions, be sure to get the authoring one. http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda.html
