What is this cable and what is it for?

It is very long. I found it in my drawer and have no idea what its function is.

link not working .... I had to copy and edit it to get there .... but got there

but it looks to me like a composite phono lead - I had one connecting my video (betamax) to my HiFi .... (left and right channels)
...... my speakers connected with two singles
