My item went just as the auction was about to end on Monday night. Next to the bidder's name was High Bidder.
Being very green I don't have a clue what this means, but what I am surprised at is this is a unique item and although I sent an email immediately so far there has been no reply. I am baffled - and should I be worried or is it still early days? Thank you for any help.

Could be a Nigerian scam. Have you checked the bidders location and when it registered? This will give you a clue to be wary. Some Nigerian scammers are known to use European country location to register.

Just don't send your item until payment is cleared.

It could be a scam Beswad, as the buyer's address is a PO Box, but on the other hand this item is stated as a C.O.D. only, so how would this benefit a scammer?

All very confusing.
A PO Box is not necessarily a bad sign at all, but if you ask on the ebay help boards, someone will advise you. There are several you could try, but some very knowledgeable people watch this one and if you start a new topic there youll very likely get a reply tonight ...
