xbox 360 loading problems

Every so often when my son puts a game in his xbox 360 he gets a message up saying 'please insert an xbox 360 disc' As it is an xbox 360 game and console we can't work out why this is happening. It happens on different games yet other times the games load properly.

Does anyone know why this is happening or have a solution? thanks :)

my solution would be ... don't worry about it!.

It sounds like the copy protection kicking in
presumably you are using Commercially produced CDs ...
....you could try cleaning them

kids being the mucky tykes they are tend to hold Cd/DVDs like a sandwich rather than by the edges .... so yoU could try a lightly moistened cloth to clean the surface of the disc

thanks AC. Yeah all the games are proper ones, we've never let him have his consoles chipped. You could be right about them being grubby and I will mention it to him later after school, hopefully that will work.

it also happens on ours from time to time and the discs are clean.
