now this may seem like a daft question but i want to know how big an image is in mb but it only comes up in kb. Whats the difference?

A KB is smaller than a MB because there are 1000 kilobites (KB) in Megabite (MB).
Actualy, there are 1024 kilobytes in a megabyte, but 1000 will do as an approximation.

so whats 772 KB in MB is that not even 1MB?
yes, 772 kb = 0.754 mb
