I gave O2 my MAC code from my existing provider and was up and running on the new service within 10 days. O2 kept me informed every step of the way by text message . You can also check on the progress of your order on their website if you want.
Set up is really easy Just pop in the CD provided and follow the simple instructions in to get connected. Their wireless router is free.
I get a constant download speeds of about 13Meg with no caps or speed shaping.
Their help line is free and open 24/7. Customer service is excellent. The phone is answered quickly and the call centre is based in the UK (Scotland I believe). The assistants are very helpful and actually seem to know what they are talking about.
If p2p/torrents are your thing then no problem - there are no blocks.
I would recommend O2 100%

yeah me the same - i wasnt getting 16meg - i was infact getting 8.3meg (according to their test) so they just changed my billing rate to 7.50 a month.
sometimes with the wireless, for a couple of mins when u first connect the service is really slow for some reason but after that it's fine.
I just had to cancel (just inside the 100 day cancellation period) as i'm moving to a new house where there already is broadband
definalty recommend tho overall
the freephone help number is 2020 from your o2 mobile by the way
