Compact digital camera

Would like to buy small compact digital camera for daughter (11yrs.) so she can learn to take decent pictures, instead of wasting money on disposables. What would be the best buy up to �50.

Hi 'streetendboy' ..... there are very few digital cameras under �50.... if you go to 'ebuyer' they have a vivitar camera for �39 which is not in the class of say pentax, canon nikon ... but it would be a lot better than a disposable camera.

Canon is a great brand, it is a point-and-shoot, it is 5Mp with 4x optical zoom.

Far better than any Technika camera.

Yes, I would go for the Canon, don`t go for the cheaper Tesco one, as it has no optical zoom.
