sky router

I have a sky netgear router and everytime i try to connect to my own router from my laptop from which i am using a wireless usb adaptor,it keeps connecting then disconnecting every couple of seconds! can anybody help? many thanks

I'm confused!!
laptop with usb adapter (a laptop without built in WiFi??)
is this the only WiFi device connected?

sky netgear + your own router? - or what ... how many routers ... how many connections?
