We own an 8 lane bowling alley and would like to play digital music from a computer through our receiver. Is this possible? What would we need in way of cables, and computer-wise (sound card, hard drive size, RAM, software, etc.)

We run our school dances from a laptop. We simply connect from the line out (or headset out) to the input line of the sound system. Set your volume on the laptop to medium to low and let the sound controls of your sound system control the volume. You will get less distortion. From a standalone computer just make sure your sound card has a line-out port. Mini-plug to whatever your sound board takes should do it.
