making a zoomed photo clearer

Just scanned a lot of photos from when i was younger to my laptop.When i zoom in on picture is there a program or anything i can use to make the picture clearer? Say if there is a magazine on a table could i zoom to see the date and that sort of thing.

You cannot zoom in to see more detail than was in the original photo. If you can see this info on the original, but not on your scan, then you will need to re-scan the originals at a highr resolution (more dpi).

If the information isn't there in the first place, then no software in the world has the psychic abilities to know details such as title and dates of magazines.

I think the americans found this with pictures they had of the grassy knoll when kennedy was assasinated - if they couldnt do it then.............
