BT Broadband

Until recently I was always notified of messages received, by way of an "orange envelope" on my broadband toolbar. For some unknown reason this does not now appear, neither does the note "you have one message". I have been on to the BT broadband help desk but they are unable to explain why these no longer appear. Neither can Yahoo, who run BT Broadband.

Is there an expert out there who could help me as it is frustrating to have to continually look into my mailbox to see if mail has been received.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated but could you please bear in mind that I am not a computer wizard (as is probably evident from my query!).
