Incorrect colour when printing

I am experiencing some problems with my Epson Photo R320 printer. When I print photos I am getting a greatly exagerated green hue, I have tried altering the colour with photoshop but the colours are still not right. Plus I do not want to change every photo before printing. I have cleaned the nozzles and use genuine epson inks and paper. It is not the camera as we use different cameras, compact and SLR.

try printing the 3 primaries the 3 secondary and see

Create a document (in Word) with 1cm square text boxes of the number of cartridges fitted to your printer. Set the text box fill colours to one of each of the print cartridge colours. Print this document to determine which of the cartridges is not printing correctly.

Having identified the faulty cartridge, if you are made of money replace it, otherwise try inverting the cartridge and place a drop of solvent (I would recommend IPA or petroleum spirit) on the outlet � gently insert a pin (or other sharp object into the aperture) which should cause a capillary reaction & suck the solvent into the cartridge. Replace the cartridge & try printing the test document again.

unlikely but worth checking. make sure that Photoshop and the printer are using the correct colour profiles/ colour spaces

I have the same printer as you and have never had good photos from it. If you get a result please can you let me know. many thanks

Hi lilacben, thanks for your answer. We did have brilliant prints but I am now wondering if it is the paper. We have changed to Epson premium semi gloss and we did always use glossy photo paper. We are going to get some more paper and give it a go. Watch this space and I will let you know. Changing paper is cheaper than changing printer, plus we have just got new inks!!!!
