On Microsoft "Word" when I try to construct a "table" I designate the number of columns and rows and then press ok but nothing appears on the screen.I think that somewhere along the way that I have pressed an incorrect key.Help anybody.

From the Table menu > Insert > Table

Then specify the number of rows & columns you require.

Click OK

Works for me.
