can't access pay pal

first of all....I know very little about pc's. having made my excuses I just cant get into pay pal, so I have one very unhappy seller on e bay, waiting for me to pay up!
message says "cant open page/find server"
I guess its some kinda security setting is it, any ideas?

there are lots of reasons - security being one of them.
Also have you changed your email address
have you changed your card details i.e. new card - paypal wont recognise new card.

if the card is the problem - you will have to recreate a new email address and log on with your new card details as if you are a new member - hope that helps a bit.

it wont let me sign in, saying it cant establish a secure connection to the server "www.paypal.com"

I have just logged in. Your firewall is blocking it.

What firewall are you using?

er............something to do with Kaspersky, and I checked that the Windows firewall wasn't on.

Try enabling the Windows firewall, and disabling kapersky - just to see if that makes a difference
