SatNav - which one?

I need a satnav which will get me through Europe - in particular France, Austria, Germany and Italy. I've seen a good deal on Garmin NUVI 250W Europe GPS. Has anyone used this, and if so, how would you rate it? It seems to have the necessary software

Any advice gratefully received - advice on alternative devices also, so long as they're about the same price range.

tom, tom, tom, tom, tooooooom

tom tom has been the choice of all the mags .... just about forever - I've been all over with mine ... and apart from the incident with the cliff and the party of climbers ... I have never had a problem.

Get the Garmin, there better than tomtom and not as bulky,
it will have the full European maps installed.
