Printing Problem

I'm trying to print a document from an excel spreadsheet

When I hit the print button I get a very brief message saying something like ' now printing to printer .... ' which is the usual message .
However nothing starts to / or is printed - and there is no message at all on the screen to say there is a problem , or what the problem is .

Can anyone help ?

Have you definitely got your printer switched on ?

Can you print something from a different application (say Word) ?

It could also be that the output is not being directed to your printer but to some other device or driver.

Instead of using the Print button try File / Print... (or press Ctrl+P on the keyboard) to see what is named as the default printer.

Thanks guys - found out what the problem was .

My daughter ( the little darling ) had changed my user settings to ' limited' access , which appeared to have been the cause of the problem
