It's less buggy than Internet Explorer
It uses less memory now the memory leak has been patched.
It has tabbed browsing - I know IE7 has this, but it's so clunky and unfriendly.
It won't automatically run ActiveX controls on sites that you visit unlike IE7 which means that if someone has a nasty little script on their page you're safer with Firefox.
It has literally thousands of free add-ons so you can customise it to your heart's content. For example, I have local weather, an automatic spell checker and a media player built into mine. You can add currency converters, different sounds for actions and different skins to totally change the way it looks.

agree with all above, it's quicker, faster and more secure then IE and if you don't like something about it there is probably an addon to make it how you want it.
Though the not running activeX controls automatically is true and does make it a lot more secure, strictly speaking that is a bug (caused by a typo by on of the coders) it's just a bug that they decided was a good one to leave in.

Firefox does have a real bug that is acknowledged by its writers. It has problems with memory leaks. Essentially this means it ties up memory and then looses contact with it. They are hoping it is fixed in the new version.
References to IE being buggy are invariably knee jerk reactions by Microsoft haters. IE is just as stable as FIrefox.
Sure people keep finding security holes but these also happen with Firefox. There are more with IE because it has more features by default settings and many more hackers attack it because it is far more widespread.

Some site written specifically for IE don't work in Firefox. This is more a reflection on the practices of the site authors than the programs.
