Is there a way of finding out the name of the owner of a mobile phone? I have a number which I need to find out the owner of without having to dial it? Any help gratefully received! Cobbles

No there isn't. It could well be an unregistered PAYG phone but even if it is registered, there is no 'directory' of mobile numbers.

You could try a long shot of putting it into Google to see if anything comes up.
