Why cant you use USB2 to download the video from a digtal video camcorder, even when it has a USB2 port? why can you only do it with Firewire/i.link.

You might find that your camcorder comes with USB connection switched off by default , consult your camcorders manuals & alter the settings as required. You should then have no trouble downloading via USB2
