XD H or XD M memory cards?

hi

can anyone tell me which XD memory card i should get for an olympus 8 million pixel digital camera please.

an H or an M ....? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

also, any ideas where i can buy a fairly cheapish one, either from a high street shop or from a reliable online site?

H stands for high speed and they are faster than the M type.

If your camera is an oldish one make sure it can take both the M and H type cards (some cameras cannot work with the H type).

It will probably tell you in the documentation that came with the camera what cards it can take.

Be careful of buying online from VERY cheap sites. These are often pirated cards of very low quality.

I saw some in Sainsbury's a few months ago that were a decent price.

Most supermarkets do memory cards nowadays, also see Argos, Woolworths, W H Smiths, Boots and so on.

The Olympus website has a listing of which cameras can use which cards.

this month's computer shopper has a review of 30+ cards ... nip down to your local supermarket and see what's hot.

its a new camera, i only bought it the other day, and yes, it takes either the M or the H type XD card.

i didnt know whether i should go for the quicker H type, or would i be happy enough with just the M type? :o/

i will definately steer clear of the mega cheap sites then, thanks vehelfulguy.
