PROBLEMS COPYING DVDR'S+- ON THE FLY

Can anyone help ? i have a dvd writer and a dvd rom... both can copy on the fly using vcd's and audio cd's but when it comes to copying dvds on the fly i get a message saying this dvd can not be copied ? why not because it has already been decrypted and shrunk ? i can burn the image via the hard drive but am just trying to save time can any one help ?
