I am thinking about getting sky hd for the new football season and also to view channels in HD, But i really wanna ask a couple of questions before i dip into my wallet.....

For movies, sport and television in general. . . Is there a real picture difference?

goto to your local (decent) TV shop and ask for a demo, they will be pleased to show you and you will probably be shocked.

Beware that the tv shops have the tvs set to 'shop' or 'demo' mode to enhance the picture.

It would be impossible to watch the tv in that mode at home, it is far too bright for comfort.

And ask them to show the picture through the arial too - don't just look at the picture from a hd dvd disk playing through a high end hd dvd player.
