No sound on a lot of video sites

Why is it that I get no sound on about 80% of on-line video sites that I try to view? YouTube is one plus some <cough> other ones, too!

It sounds like a fault with Adobe Flash Player. See my post from two questions down the list:

Thanks for that.................but there's more..................

a) I'm probably being a div, but hhere was only one answer on the link that you gave me.

b) I uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe FLash Player and that didn't solve the problem.

Any further help would be greatly apprecaited.
