has anyone experienced any problems with these drives, purchased two , one seems to work fine so far,
the other one
Can map to network drives, but cannot write/delete/rename
Get 'Access is Denied'
Shares
PUBLIC
Via Shared Storage Manager
(iexplorer http://drivename)
File Sharing Tab
User Management set up a user abc123
When try to delete get:
A Serious Error has Occurred
Error Code:: f00027
User ID out of range
Please try again
Similarly when try to Update Security Settings
Get
A Serious Error has Occurred
Error Code:: f00018
Failed to find uid in passwd file
Please try again
Have tried General Set up WD Anywhere Access Settings
And reset as recommended by WD website,
Recreate shares
Works fine for a few minutes, then same as above, can map to network drive but cannot write/delete says 'Access is Denied'
Both appear via Mionet,
Other works fine, this one 'Access is Denied' when try to move files to it
Also switching off the drive and back on again works fine for a few minutes, then a repeat of above.
its driving me mad, is it the case of taking it back to PC World?
