Firefox 3 help please

I recently asked on AB if upgrading to Firefox3 was a good idea and I had several helpful responses all saying it was good. Today I downloaded and installed but it crashes every time I try tp open. I have now uninstalled. What should I do now should I revert back
I am using Vista ultimate Pleese urgent help needed

Download version 2.0.0.14 from the right hand panel

Sounds like something's up with one of your addons that you've installed.

Install it again, and in the menu it creates in Start menu -> Programs, there should be a "firefox (safe mode)" item.

If so, try running that. If it isn't there, try this:

Basically, safe mode disables all add-ons, so that just firefox starts. The issue is unlikely to be firefox itself, and more likely either an extension not working with version 3 correctly, or the mover program from version 2 to 3.

Thanks both of you (yet again) I have now installed Firefox3 successfully although I have not set up any addons for the moment. Fingers crossed it seems to be working OK at the moment but I have printed off instructions re safe mode in case I have any further problems- hopefully all will be well. Otherwise I will follow Ethel's instructions and start again
