Totally irrelevant, manufacturers replacement cartridges are exorbitantly priced which is why they can sell the printers so cheaply in the first instance. Your question should have been `Which make of printer has the cheapest COMPATIBLE replacement cartridges available' to which the answer is Epson
I buy very cheap cartridges from www.printerinks.com
Epson's latest printers have separate cartridges for each of the individual colours, so you can replace only the colour that runs out (cheaper than a single cartridge with three colours in it). Although you can use 3rd party ink cartridges, many with great results, you'll invalidate the warranty if you do. Epson printers have fixed print heads, which means that the cartridge is just a 'pot' of ink, whereas many other manufacturers, such as Lexmark, have the print head integral to the cartridge. If you use a 3rd party cartridge, or refill, and your print heads block up permanently, then with a Lexmark you can just buy a new cartridge, but with an Epson you're stuffed (yes, it happened to me!.
I am on my fourth Epson printer in 6 years. Not one of them has let me down in any way whatsoever. I can buy THREE sets of good compatibles for 20 instead of 30-40 for ONE set of Epson (or 70 for Lexmark)If you are worried about the warranty, simply keep the original set of spent cartridges.
