Internet blocked after sleep on laptop

I've got a new laptop running Vista, whether or not I disconnect the broadband if it goes into sleep or hibernate when I wake it up it refuses to connect to the internet, even when the icon is showing for internet.

I've tried altering all the configurations but I have to restart it to get the internet running and am currently unable to use sleep or hibernate until I can solve this.
