Sky Broadband

I have all of Sky's facilities except broadband, because I'm told that I am not in a Sky Broadband area. I have been offered something called connect which costs 17 per month,as opposed to the Sky mid package of 10.Can someone explain to me what ''connect'' actually means?(does Sky use BT 'phone lines for their broadband in some parts of the country & not in others ?)

I've looked at their website and they refer to Connect for users outside their network - but they don't have a network as such - it is all BT lines.
You don't live in Hull, do you? They have their own telephone company who may charge Sky differently.

Ethel.I live in the West Midlands just outside Birmingham. When I lived in Birmingham,as I said ,I had no problem. Since being told by Sky that I am outside their Broadband area I am receiving BT Broadband through the BT line so as you say, Tis most confusing,it would appear that as the 'phone line is capable of carrying Broadband, for some reason Sky cannot access the line for Broadband & yet my sky HD box is connected as required to the BT line,so I am still trying to seek an answer.WR.
