DNS Error?
5 Answers
Hi,
For some reason I was not able to access the internet yesterday, but I noticed that a message appeared for a split second on the bar along the bottom of the screen and all I could see was DNS Error. I checked all of my settings and everything was ok, all the correct lights on my modem are on. In the end I got fed up and decided to restore my Laptop to the previous days setting, and once I had done this everything was fine and I could access the Internet again.
When I turned on my laptop again this morning, I had the same error, so again I restored it to the earlier date, and again it worked ok.
I did notice that there was a Microsoft update icon appearing on the task bar, and I clicked on it to do the install, so maybe this update has caused the problem. I think the update was something to do with Malicious Software.
I don't know if this is anything to do with the problem, but last week I installed Peer Guardian on my laptop, but everything has worked fine until yesterday.
Any advice would be most appreciated.
