Advice about SD cars and readers
4 Answers
I have a Pure Evoke 3 Digital radio which records programmes onto a SD card in MP2 format. We would like to be able to listen to these programmes in the car which has a cassette player and a Cd player. Can anyone advise me whether I can do this by buying a card reader as there is one on offer at Play.com combined with buying some more Sd cards.
I don't want to buy the wrong equipment and I also don't want it to be too difficult to convert them either. The main stumbling block may be the MP2 format
Be grateful for ANY advice,
Thanks

Use something like this to convert:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
Or perhaps burning software like Nero will automatically convert from mp2 to CD audio for you.
Or, I think that you can add them into iTunes (if you have it), and then that will let you burn an audio CD of the radio.
Card reader: if you're buying cards > 2GB, make sure it can read the larger capacities. And in general, avoid Belkin (they're bad).

Yes you would.
Grab Lame and Razorlame (frontend to use LAME) from here:

I believe LAME can convert to mp3 for you, from mp2.
