Few weeks ago I bought the vodaphone810 from argos cost 69.99. Some places I have it there is no signal. Now I did a check on this with other people at the same place and there signal strength was full. A friend can ring me just at top of my street and she gets a message saying "this phone is out of service."My mobile is never off.Why when I paid so much money for this phone does it not have a proper signal and it has nothing to do with the area as I said I have checked other phones. Thanks for any replies as I am just about to sling it and buy the cheapest one I can find .
The problem is most likely caused by your signal supplier - eg vodaphone, o2 or whoever. It's nothing usually to do with the phone and definitely little to do with Argos (unless there's an actual fault with the phone).
Is your friend on the same supplier as you? Have you called whoever your phone contract is with?
Go to the Sale of Goods Act. Tell the retailer that you bought the phone as a communication device and due to the problems that you have experienced you want a refund because it is not fit for purpose.
Thanks for reply. I have always been with vodaphone with previous phones and never had any problems with signal strengths. I know it is not argos at fault as long distant and most calls are ok.It is so annoying when someone rings and can't get through.
