how do i record series'?
i am goin on holiday and would like to set the box to record certain programs whilst i am away!

can u help? i know i should know this... but i dont?

Fid the programme you want to record and press the red 'R' as normal to record that program. At the bottom of the screen there should be the option to series link with a green square next to it. Press the green button on your remote and a double ended arrow should appear next to the record sympbol on your planner indicating that the series link is set.

It may be that the programs you want to record don't have a series link -in whcih case you need to go to each prgramme individually and set to record.

I've found that while golf's method is exactly correct (it even shows the series link option) - sometimes it doesnt work
get back to the main menu
green to enter planner
find and select the single recording
and assuming the series link option is there ... you should now be able to set the series.

if no link ... it's not a series

sometimes i have tried to record a programme which i know is a series but it says no link, so i try it agin a few minutes later and it works

The "series link" flag is not always instantaneous. Ocassionally the EPG needs a few minutes to update so it is always a good idea to recheck progs in your planner as suggested by gina32.
