Which is best? I want to spend about 100 each and want to buy one for myself and one for a gift. I also want the frame to be 10 inch if poss. I've heard that some don't have random mode and so start at the same picture every time and run them in the same order? That seems like a problem, Is it?

I have Kodak, once you get into the settings (home) you can set the time of the picture frame, you can also program when you want it to turn on/off so you could use it as an alarm clock of sorts! You can select display options here you can set the slide transition times, the actual transition type, and if you want the frame to display landscape or portrait.

Generally I would say that the quality of the slide shows, more importantly the quality of the images being shown should be good. You can search in shopping search engine, read some reviews before getting that perfect frame.
