Our washing machine is leaving brown oiley type stains that cannot be removed, particularly white cotton items. as anyone come across this type of problem before?
Mrs Vicasso had a similar problem. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with the machine, but she always used a low temperature 30 degree wash and there had been a gradual build-up of detergent and dirt in the folds of the rubber door seal.
Run a cloth around in the rubber seal folds. If there is dirt there, wipe off as much as you can and then try a high temperature wash to remove the residue. Hope this helps :-)
